Most allocations done here are rather small and can fit on the stack, eliminating the need to allocate them dynamically. Reserve a 1024B stack buffer for this purpose to avoid the overhead of dynamic memory allocation. 1024B covers most use cases, and higher values were observed to cause stack corruptions.
